Another person appeared when I was called from the waiting room and I was TOLD that she would be observing the procedure. I was not asked if it was okay and I did not want another person as it was a sensitive test. I told the NP that I preferred not to have this person observe and my request was honored.

Until Valerie Owen, most doctor's blew off my stomach ailments. She is been the best thing to ever happen to me and wants nothing but to help me to get to the bottom of my problem. I actually enjoy my visits with her. She is an intent listener and all around delight.

Valerie is an excellent clinician and represents Hopkins well. She is respectful, partners with her patients in care, and takes time to explain options and treatment plans.

I've dealt with many providers in the past who would get agitated by questions, and who would not take the time to help me understand their reasoning or thought process. I feel more comfortable working with her because I feel like I understand what is being done.
