Val is very good at her job. She shows true concern for me and health. She takes time to speak with my wife, who is my care giver while I fight terminal cancer. She takes the time to explain things and answer my questions. I'm not just a number to her. I'm a person to her. She should be commended for her knowledge and her bedside manner!

While at my pre chemo visit, we discussed that I had not been able to schedule my DVT ultrasound ordered by [staff] at previous visit. Valerie looked at my legs and feet and set into motion my receiving a DVT ultrasound that day prior to chemo. She facilitated the appt and my accessing the vascular unit. After a very tiny and fresh clot was identified, they decided I needed medication and she placed the order for me to receive my medication after chemo and prior to leaving hospital. My Rx was filled by the Cancer pharmacy unit. Valerie was instrumental.
