Background

Dr. Anthony Lawrence Guerrerio is an assistant professor of pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His areas of clinical expertise include pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition and inflammatory bowel disease. He is the director of the Very Early Onset Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinic.

Dr. Guerrerio received his M.D. and Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in pediatrics and did a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at Johns Hopkins and then joined the faculty in 2009. 

His clinical practice focuses on eosinophilic intestinal disease (esophagitis, gastroenteritis and colitis) as well as inflammatory bowel disease—especially in the context of immunodeficiency. He also has a special interest in intestinal problems of those affected by Loeys-Dietz syndrome.
