Background
Syvel M. Padayhag is a family nurse practitioner who specializes in caring for patients with complex neurotologic conditions including vestibular disorders, hearing loss and chronic ear diseases. She is part of the Johns Hopkins Cochlear Implant Center.
Padayhag obtained her Master of Science in nursing from Walden University, and began her nurse practitioner career in the Department of Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery at Johns Hopkins, where she continues her focused training in neurotology.
Before transitioning to advanced practice, Padayhag worked as an outpatient surgery operating room nurse at Johns Hopkins for seven years, during which she developed a strong foundation in perioperative care, surgical coordination and team-based patient management.
