After earning his medical degree from the McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, Dr. Venkataraman completed residency in neurosurgery at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Dr. Venkataraman’s research focuses on regenerative and translational approaches to spinal cord injury recovery, understanding secondary injury pathways after brain and spinal cord injury, biomechanics of complex spinal constructs and spinal oncology.
