Dr Sikder is a surgeon; this was a surgery follow-up appointment. I did not answer some questions as I did not know what to expect. Dr. Sikder has been wonderful and informative throughout are appointments and conversations. I asked many questions and was unsure for awhile about which cataract lens to chose; she was very patient with me and helpful.

In my initial visit there was too much emphasis on what might go wrong and it made me hesitate about the surgery.

Knowing about my condition and giving me the best advice for treatment

Dr. Sikder gave me excellent vision after a problem occurred when another ophthalmologist ( an outside practice) damaged a new lens during cataract surgery. Dr. Sikder Has been a godsend in every way !

I found the visit (for a second opinion) shockingly disappointing. The visit perhaps can be best described as yet another example of the robotic quality of the doctor/patient interaction. The ""visit"" left me feeling sad and yes, just another ICD diagnostic number.

Dr. Sikder was wonderful. She follows a conservative approach when discussing the need for cataract surgery. Seems simple, but her direction to use eye drops 2-3 times a day for 6+ months actually improved my vision in an eye with cataracts, pushing the need for surgery out a few more years. She's a miracle worker!!
