Sandra Alcira Mitre Polin, MD

Dr. Sandra Polin joined the Sullivan Breast Center at Sibley Memorial Hospital in 2016 as radiologist with an expertise in breast imaging. Prior to joining Sibley, she was Assistant Professor of Radiology at Georgetown from 2003-2008 and then worked at a private practice in the D.C. region. 

Dr. Polin completed her residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center where she was also Chief Resident, followed by a fellowship in Breast and Body Imaging at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Polin has published on the utilization of breast MRI for assessing patients response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy. She is a past Vice President of the Jacobi Medical Society, and is currently a member of the American Roentgen Ray Society and the Society of Breast Imaging.
