Sagar Chapagain, MD

Sagar Chapagain, M.D., is an internal medicine physician at Johns Hopkins Community Physicians. He completed his residency training at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. His academic journey began at Community College of Baltimore County and continued at Cornell University, where he was a Jack Kent Cooke Scholar. His commitment to compassionate, personalized primary care has been recognized through induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and receiving the Randy Barker Medical Group Award for Excellence in Personalized, Patient-Centered Primary Care.

Dr. Chapagain believes that the foundation of medicine is a strong relationship between patients and their physicians. He is passionate about providing thoughtful, evidence-based primary care and helping patients navigate complex health decisions through clear communication, preventive care and a personalized approach. Beyond caring for patients, he values staying connected to his community, mentoring others and giving back. Outside of medicine, he is an avid reader, enjoys hiking, and takes any opportunity to spend time with his wife and family.
