Dr. Blumenthal was pure magic. He took extensive time to get to know me and my family history and and to explain possible options for future care. He is clearly brilliant but also very down to earth and personable. It's evident he genuinely cares about each of his patients. I've already recommended him to multiple people. I felt grateful to be able to spend this time with him with the knowledge that he's a perennial expert in the field!

I am so pleased to have Dr. Blumenthal as my cardiologist. He diagnosed my need to see mitral valve specialists who eventually detected mitral valve disease resulting in a successful mitral valve repair. Dr. Blumenthal Is now monitoring my post-surgery recovery and I feel couldn't be in better hands. He listens/writes notes and explains everything in an easy to understand way. It is always evident he has reviewed my file before I arrive at appointments.

While it took me 6 months to get an appointment, it was definitely worth the wait. I wanted/needed his expert opinion for my treatment. The appointment gave me great insights and hope; which is something I haven't felt in two years. I feel blessed to have been able to travel up from Orlando and know I'm in good hands.

Great visit

During my visit Dr. Blumenthal was the consummate physician - thorough, attentive, insightful, and reassuring where appropriate. His gentle manner devoid of any arrogance in combination with these other characteristics makes him far and away the best doctor I've ever interacted with ( only excluding my two brothers and that's a close call).

An excellent cardiologist

Thorough and punctual

Dr. Blumenthal is a very knowledgeable and experienced physician. But I feel that he lacks the level of understanding and empathy that someone like me (an older man with MS and a desire for preventative testing) needs. He refused to consider follow-up testing to track the diagnosis of calcification of my: 1) Coronary Artery; and 2) Abdominal Aorta. I understand why he's reluctant to expose me to unneeded radiation from CT scans, but there are other measurement methods not associated with radiation exposure, but he was not open to any follow-up testing whatsoever.

There was an trainee who spent most of the time with me under Blumenthal supervision.
