Dr. Laines went over my results and he explained them to me in great detail. He explained my diagnosis and what the next steps are and how important they are. He was extremely thorough and made sure that I understood my conditions.

Great surgeon, he took good care of me. He's not the best at communicating, but he's got it where it counts.

Dr Sebastian may be a good surgeon but he is a poor communicator. When I met him in the hospital he was brusque and difficult to understand. At this appointment he had his back to me and was speaking. I could not understand what he was saying. It turned out he was speaking to me in Spanish which I don't speak. It happened a second time during the procedure, as well. But even when he spoke in English, it was hard to follow and I had to ask him to repeat what he had said.

Seems like a very competent and confident surgeon but needs to work on communication.

Great

He seemed very confident, and was willing to answer questions but seemed overly confident and I'm worried about post op care if I dont recover typically. This is likely to dissuade me from pursuing care here or entirely.
