His primary research interest is in novel therapies for heart failure and he is involved in both clinical trials and pre-clinical studies currently underway at Johns Hopkins.

Dr Johnston coordinated with my PCP and then ordered blood work for both of them. When the results came back, he called and coordinated a repeat of a faulty lab result to be done at Johns Hopkins. He showed great concern for my health.

I specifically drive 3 hrs to see Dr Johnston . He Is vey knowledgeable, answers all my questions, listens to my concerns, and has the most calming demeanor. He basically saved my life with a double bypass .. I highly recommend him to everyone.

No one called about the blood work bcoz he ordered it at this visit. He is a wonderful, kind & caring doctor. Always smiling and very courteous & patient with me, looks you in the eyes as he talks with you. Any questions I have he makes sure I understand the answer.
