Dr. Peiling Chen is an excellent ophthalmologist. I noticed that she takes her profession seriously with pride. That is why I feel comfortable being treated by her. She is also a caring and compassionate doctor. She explains the issues that I have with my eyes in a simple terms that I can understand. I go to my appointments with confidence.

Peiling Chen OD is excellent. She is part of the Wilmer Eye Institute. I visit her every six months to ensure that I am not experiencing a problem with a drug given to me by my rheumatologist.On days when I have tests she has them set up for me in advance. She also has shared with me information about a procedure that would keep my eyes moist.

I believe I received a very thorough diabetic eye exam during this visit. Because I have a prism in my glasses this provider had to refer me to another colleague who is knowledgeable in this form of refracting. Therefore I had to make another appointment.

This was my first visit with doctor Chen. My previous doctor, [staff], had left the practise 2 months earlier. Dr. Chen was a food communicator who had to update and issue with regard to testing from the retinal consultant. She was able to incorporate the additional info easily.

Great visit for an urgent problem, and took the time needed to make sure evaluation was thorough and she was able to answe my questions.

Very easy to schedule and the office was very polite and efficient. The Doctor was great in determining what was going on, explaining it, and communicating what to do about it. Great job.

A few years ago, I was prescribed cyclosporine, and since then she has been the person who sees me every six months-or sooner, depending on her recommendations. At each visit, she explains her findings and treatment plan very clearly. For me, understanding the health of my eyes is very important.

My provider does my annual eye exam and does a thorough and outstanding job. All questions, concerns are addressed and her findings explained.

The doctor is very knowledgeable and professional, except that she seemed to have left the office after dilating my eyes, and I had to wait a very long time to be seen After my eyes were dilated. This was An early morning appointment and I was trying to get to work so it was quite inconvenient. Another doctor went to look for her while I was waiting and said she had stepped out.

Felt like the doctor was simply following a script. Never bothered to look at my referral or listen to me. She seemed overwhelmed and harried- and was simply trying to enter data into the computer and move to the next task.

Dr. Chen explained the importance of using the prescription eye drops regularly, which I had not understood before.

Dr Peiling Chen is wonderful. I came to her because a drug I was taking for my RA has the side effect of causing blindness. This was my second visit. Both times she had a tech test my vision. She shared the results each time.
