Paulo Henrique Peitl Gregorio, MD

Dr. Gregorio is a thoracic surgeon at Johns Hopkins with expertise in lung transplantation, thoracic surgery, and robotic surgery. He is recognized for his patient-centered approach and collaborative style of care. He completed advanced fellowship training in thoracic oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and in lung transplantation at the University of Pennsylvania, following his thoracic surgery training at the University of São Paulo in Brazil. 

He cares for patients with complex diseases of the lungs and chest wall, including thoracic cancers and end-stage lung disease that may require lung transplantation. Dr. Gregorio has a special interest in minimally invasive and robotic thoracic surgery, which can improve surgical precision and may support faster recovery in selected patients. 

At Johns Hopkins, he is part of the lung transplantation program, where he participates in candidate evaluation, selection meetings, and quality improvement efforts. He also works with the multidisciplinary thoracic oncology team serving patients across the East Baltimore and Bayview campuses.
