Before joining Johns Hopkins Medicine, Dr. Lu treated patients at OrthoBethesda and performed surgeries at Suburban Hospital and Sibley Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Lu’s research has examined preoperative risk factors for complications after joint replacement surgery, pain management strategies after knee replacement and surgical approaches for hip fractures. His work has been published in prominent medical journals, and he continues to serve as a reviewer for the Journal of Arthroplasty.
