Michelle Marie Smith, MD

Dr. Smith specializes in critical care medicine in the cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) and pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined the medical staff in 2002 and became vice chair of the medical staff in January 2020. She served as chief of the medical staff from 2022-2023.

Dr. Smith was honored for Excellence in Service and Professionalism at Johns Hopkins All Children's in the 2023 Johns Hopkins Medicine Clinical Awards.

She earned her medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles. She completed her pediatric critical care fellowship at The Johns Hopkins University.
