Melissa Beth Alberts, MD, MSc

Dr. Alberts specializes in neonatology in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Maternal, Fetal & Neonatal Institute. She sees patients at Johns Hopkins All Children’s and HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital. She joined the hospital staff in 2025.

Dr. Alberts earned her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She completed a residency in pediatrics at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital/Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. She then completed a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at University of Florida Shands Children’s Hospital in Gainesville.

She also earned a Master of Science in the history of science, medicine and technology from the University of Oxford in Oxford, United Kingdom.
