Dr. Tareen is very easy to talk to, & she listens very carefully. I agreed with her advice & acted promptly to follow it. An excellent ""gatekeeper"", which a good PCP should be.

I travel about 2 hours to see this provider. I chose her when my provider at Greensprings moved to administration. I felt her profile met the background I was looking for. It is worth the day trip to DC to see her.

Professional, attentive to medical discussion, asked good questions to help determine lab testing needs, good review of past conditions and outcomes, good eye contact and manner.

Said I would recommend this provide to my friends and family; generally I would, except that it is very hard to get an appointment to see Dr. Tareen. I would suggest to anyone looking for a primary care physician to try a Community Physician office in a suburban setting, rather than an urban setting.

Great visit, efficiently scheduled.
- 3 out of 5 starsReviewed on 6/26/2025
She is very business-like, direct, and brief. She effectively does her job but doesn't spend time building rapport with the patients. It's OK but some patients may want stronger interpersonal connections with their physician.

Dr. Tareen is the best Dr. I have ever had. She saved my life by telling me to get a colonoscopy and I will be forever grateful. Cancer was found and she has been with me every step along the way. It's her caring manner and the way she talks to me that makes me so comfortable and I am able to discuss everything with her. I have recommended her to other members of my family. She stays on top of my health care every step of the way.

It took me so long to find a doctor who was accepting new patience since I recently changed my healthcare provider. I felt rushed with my appointment, especially when the doctor said ""Well, I have to get going."" My total appointment time was maybe 15 minutes.

I was ready to give up on Johns Hopkins for my annual visits. Please note I was a patient of [staff] at the Bethesda office (downtown) - 100% of the time late, never got my prescription meds sent to pharmacy correctly the first time, would not look at anything (at all) new that I raised in an annual physical. This doctor was the direct opposite - appointment started 15 minutes early, excellent listening, confirmed but didn't read aloud my medical chart, answered questions, resolved questions, ordered blood tests on the spot. Amazing.
- 5 out of 5 starsReviewed on 4/28/2025
I have been very pleased with my overall experience.
