Dr. Birdsong earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing in 2020. She works in the Colorectal Center, and she is experienced in biofeedback therapy, providing specialized care for children with colorectal and continence disorders.

An active educator and speaker, Dr. Birdsong has presented nationally and locally on pediatric surgery, wound and ostomy care, and pediatric continence management. Her clinical and scholarly interests focus on advancing evidence-based care and improving quality of life for children with complex surgical and continence needs.
