Background

Majd Marrache is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement surgery. He cares for patients with arthritis and other complex joint conditions that cause pain, stiffness and loss of mobility. His goal is to help each patient regain function, relieve pain, maintain lifelong mobility and enjoy an active, fulfilling lifestyle through personalized, evidence-based care.

Dr. Marrache specializes in first-time and revision hip and knee replacement, including anterior hip replacement, robotic-assisted surgery, total and partial knee replacement, complex joint reconstruction, and the treatment of complications such as joint infection. He works closely with each patient to develop a tailored treatment plan that may include surgery and/or nonsurgical treatments.

Dr. Marrache earned his medical degree from the American University of Beirut Medical Center. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Johns Hopkins Medicine, during which he held several leadership roles and was recognized with numerous leadership awards. Dr. Marrache completed the adult reconstructive surgery fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School, receiving advanced training in primary and revision hip and knee replacement, robotic-assisted surgery and complex joint reconstruction.

Dr. Marrache is interested in advancing the quality, value and outcomes of hip and knee replacement surgery. His research focuses on improving recovery after joint replacement, expanding access to high-quality care and developing innovative, value-based approaches to arthroplasty that improve patient experience. Dr. Marrache has published extensively in the field of joint replacement and has presented his research at leading national and international meetings, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. He continues to promote safe, effective, and evidence-based care for patients undergoing hip and knee replacement surgery worldwide.

Growing up across the Middle East and North America shaped Dr. Marrache's commitment to caring for patients from diverse backgrounds and advancing collaboration in orthopaedics, both locally and internationally. He believes successful joint replacement begins with understanding each patient's goals, whether that's walking without pain, returning to work, traveling, keeping up with children or grandchildren, getting back to golf, tennis, pickleball or hiking, or simply maintaining an active, independent lifestyle. He partners with each patient to build a personalized treatment plan that helps them return to doing what they love.

Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Marrache is passionate about leadership development, innovation in orthopaedic surgery and advancing orthopaedic education. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, staying active through sports, traveling and exploring different cultures.
