Lindsay Cheu, M.D. (she/her), is an obstetrician-gynecologist with Johns Hopkins Community Physicians. Dr. Cheu delivers babies and operates at Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center. She has trained in diverse practice settings at Northwestern University in Chicago for medical school and the University of Washington for residency, in which she practiced in seven different hospital systems including a rural site and Seattle’s level 1 trauma center. She brings this broad expertise to her practice here in Maryland and values listening to each patient’s unique story.
From annual visits to delivering babies and operating, Dr. Cheu enjoys that each day is different as a Gyn/Ob. She recognizes that people seeking obstetric and gynecologic care can feel vulnerable and sees it as a privilege to partner with her patients in building a care plan together. She is skilled in open- and minimally-invasive surgical approaches, including robotic.
Dr. Cheu ran cross-country and track in college for Johns Hopkins University (#GoHop!), but is most proud of racing with her mother to win the mother-daughter category, for multiple years, in her hometown Turkey Trot. Growing up in Upstate New York, she enjoys hiking with her family and loves trying out new bakeries on the drives back from the trailheads.

I left my appointment feeling like I was able to talk about all things I had questions about and with more Information than I anticipated. I was glad she explained things to me and even set me up with a referral for who I need to speak with to move forward with my plans. This visit was 1st time in all my years I didnt have discomfort with the exams, and I left feeling like my questions were answered and taken care of.

In direct contradiction to the 2.5 stars the office currently has on google reviews, Dr. Cheu provides an almost shockingly good quality of care. She obviously reviewed my chart before meeting me, was knowledgeable, thorough, and kind during my in-person appointment, and has been absolutely incredible with our MyChart communications for all the resulting follow ups (additional information discussed during my appointment, communicating lab results, handling a prior auth, helping with referrals). She deserves recognition. JH admin should consider talking with and trusting Dr. Cheu's judgment since both she and her team are doing an outstanding job improving JH's reputation.

Lindsay was so nice and respectful, relateable and really listened well to me. I felt so good coming from that appointment. She was very respectful of my wishes and helped me to both see and hear that my babies were doing well.
