Background

Lauren Watson, O.D., M.P.H., F.A.A.O., Dipl. ABO, is a compassionate and relatable optometrist who provides comprehensive and urgent eye care, with a passion for ocular disease and community health. She sees patients at Wilmer’s Odenton, Maryland, location. An instructor of ophthalmology, Dr. Watson earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Maryland and graduated summa cum laude from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. She also holds a master’s degree in public health from the University of Memphis, and completed residency training in ocular disease/community health at a community health center outside of Boston.

In her free time, Dr. Watson loves watching documentaries, reading and watching Ravens football either on TV or in person at the stadium (don’t worry, she doesn’t judge if you’re a Washington fan!). She also spends her evenings tutoring optometry students who are taking their national board examinations.
