Laura Ackerman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Ackerman leads the acute psychiatry inpatient service and also sees outpatients in the Johns Hopkins Hospital Community Psychiatry Clinic. She specializes in community psychiatry and taking care of patients with severe and persistent mental illness.
