Research Interests

Dr. Schratz is part of the Telomere Clinic at Johns Hopkins and cares for children and adults with Telomere Disorders in addition to other inherited conditions that predispose to myelodysplastic syndrome, acute myeloid leukemia and other hematologic malignancies. The Telomere Clinic is deeply tied to a long-standing research program where collaborative studies between patients and researchers have led to critical discoveries that have transformed the understanding and bedside care of affected patients, both children and adults.
