Keith D. Lillemoe, MD, FACS, MAMSE, is a general surgeon serving as Professor of Surgery (part-time) in the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Department of Surgery, where he focuses on education and mentorship.

Dr. Lillemoe earned his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed his surgical residency at Johns Hopkins. He previously served as Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine and as Surgeon-in-Chief and Chief of the Department of Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was the W. Gerald Austen Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Lillemoe's expertise includes pancreatic cancer, intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMN), benign pancreatic disorders and biliary tract injuries. In addition to his clinical expertise, he has authored more than 500 peer-reviewed publications and is internationally recognized for advancing the surgical treatment of pancreatic and biliary diseases through research, education and mentorship.
