She earned her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. She trained in surgery and otolaryngology at Tulane Hospital and Clinic.She completed a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology, head and neck surgery at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
