Katherine Ikard Stewart, M.D., M.B.A., is an assistant professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her clinical expertise includes gynecologic cancers, fertility sparing surgery and minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Stewart received her undergraduate degree from the University of San Diego. She earned her medical degree and her M.B.A. in health organization management from Texas Tech University, and she completed residency training in gynecology and obstetrics at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Stewart spent two years as a reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellow at Johns Hopkins, then completed a four-year gynecologic oncology fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
She is particularly interested in the effect of cancer on reproductive health and pushing the envelope in the use of fertility sparing treatment strategies. Her current research investigates the impact of fertility sparing surgery techniques on oncologic and reproductive outcomes.
Dr. Stewart believes in the importance of shared decision making and individualized treatment plans for all patients to meet their specific goals and optimize their quality of life. She seeks to provide multidisciplinary care to patients with gynecologic cancer.

Service was good but had to wait an hour past my appointment time before I was seen by the physician with no communication regarding the delay. This was my first visit to this provider. Dr Stewart is extremely knowledgeable and intelligent. However, it would be great if she spoke a little slower. Hard to do when you're such a superstar and your brain is going at the speed of lightning!
