Background

After earning his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees, Dr. Ding completed his radiation oncology physics residency in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Virginia. He then served as a medical physicist in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center and as an assistant professor in the Division of Medical Physics in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Ding is currently Associate Professor and Senior Medical Physicist in the Department of Radiation Oncology and Molecular Radiation Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He also serves as Founding Co-Director of the Medical Physics PhD Program, Founding Co-Director of the Medical Physics Certificate Program, Director of the Medical Physics Residency, and Director of the Smart Biomaterial & Image-Guided Radiotherapy Lab. He holds a secondary appointment in Oncology and is affiliated with the Cancer Molecular & Functional Imaging Program at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, the Carnegie Center for Surgical Innovation, the Data Science and AI Institute, and the Imaging AI Subcouncil of the Johns Hopkins Medicine AI & Data Trust Council. Make a gift today
