Background

Dr. Litvak received his undergraduate degree with distinction from the University of Michigan. He received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine where he was honored with the Bradley A. Gaither Award for Excellence in Genitourinary Surgery. Dr. Litvak completed his residency in urological surgery at the Boston University School of Medicine where he served as chief resident.

In 2005, Dr. Litvak joined Urological Consultants. Shortly thereafter he initiated the laparoscopic urology program at Suburban Hospital where he performed the first laparoscopic nephrectomy. In 2008, he and Dr. Radolinski initiated the Robotic Surgery program at Suburban Hospital.

Dr. Litvak has published numerous journal articles and meeting abstracts on a wide array of urological topics. He has also authored several chapters in textbooks of urological surgery. He has taught courses in minimally invasive surgery both domestically and abroad. Dr. Litvak is honored to be recognized by his peers as one of the areas top urologists by receiving the Washingtonian Magazine’s Top Doctors Award.
