Joyce is an outstanding nurse practitioner who provides excellent care and conveys helpful advice & guidance on general health issues as well as on specific topics in her area of expertise.

Ms. Hamba is knowledgeable and compassionate. She is an excellent listener and I feel fortunate to have her on my team. She also is skilled at referring me to resources I may find helpful. Amazingly, even though I know she is very busy, she is very responsive to any message I may send her.

Joyce has been wonderful to work with. She is patient, good listener and reads me so well that she knows how to settle me down when I become anxious. She is accessible and take her time with me.

I have been coming to Sibley for over nine years. This is the best service I ever had. It was a pleasure to see my previous nurse. She hugged me and made me so comfortable. Joyce voiced empathy when I endorsed some symptoms. She did not understand my question about Tamoxifen's mechanism of action, even after I attempted to clarify, and her answer was unrelated to my question. She also provided some information that was in contrast to information provided by [staff] about the long-term impact of the medication, which has created uncertainty and a need for me to consult additional resources.

I really love seeing Joyce. She is so warm and caring. She is very knowledgeable about breast cancer treatment, follow up, and the impact all of it has on patients. She give good advice about self care and seems to truly care about her patients as people. I never feel rushed with her and she listens carefully during visits. Joyce Hamba and [staff] are big reasons I keep coming to Sibley for my post surgery care. [staff] is awesome, too!
