Background

John M. Gross, MD, is an Associate Professor of Pathology and Orthopedic Surgery at The Johns Hopkins University. He earned his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology, as well as fellowships in bone and soft tissue pathology at the University of Washington and surgical pathology at the Mayo Clinic. He serves as the Director of the Division of Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Gross specializes in mesenchymal neoplasia and has authored nearly 100 publications, including his description of the novel “Ossifying Spindled and Epithelioid Tumor (OSET)” (PMID:40680850). Furthermore, Dr. Gross has also contributed several chapters to the upcoming 6th edition of the WHO Classification of Bone and Soft Tissue Tumors and Female Genital Tract. Dr. Gross is an active lecturer, presenting nationally and internationally across nearly every continent.
