Dr Simard was very clear in her statements about my treatment options and listened to me carefully as an individual, not a one-size-fits-all problem. This was my first consultation with her on my long-term cancer treatment.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Simard. We were discussing possible medications to treat my breast cancer as well as several tests that needed to be done. Dr. Simard was very well prepared for the appointment. She listened carefully to my concerns, asked questions about previous medications that I had taken and the side effects. She spent as much time as needed with me. I was most impressed with her thoroughness and compassion.

She spent a long time with me, as did the oncology fellow who was working with her. She respected the choice of treatment plan I requested after doing my own research based on information she gave to me at the previous visit. I feel like we covered all the pros and cons of the treatment options and that my decision was well-informed. Dr. Simard expresses warmth and kindness in addition to her professional expertise, and our conversation was patient centered and personal.
