Dr. Insaf Kouba is a maternal-fetal medicine specialist at the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Maternal, Fetal & Neonatal Institute. Dr. Kouba joined Johns Hopkins All Children’s in 2024 and provides care at the main campus in St. Petersburg, Florida, as well as affiliated regional sites. She previously served as clinical assistant professor and associate program director in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and NYU Langone Hospital–Brooklyn, where she was actively involved in resident education, mentorship, and curriculum development.
She earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York, where she served as chief resident, and completed fellowship training in maternal-fetal medicine at Northwell Health’s South Shore University Hospital.
Dr. Kouba’s academic work focuses on maternal morbidity, pregnancy outcomes, health equity, and the role of social determinants of health in obstetric care. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and presented her research at national and international conferences. Her work reflects a strong commitment to improving care delivery and reducing disparities in maternal health.
She is fluent in Spanish, Arabic, and French, allowing her to provide culturally sensitive care to a diverse patient population.
