Heeseong Jang is an instructor of surgery at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He specializes in studying tissue and bone marrow-derived macrophages in the pathogenesis in diverse experimental models.
Dr. Jang earned bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees from Kyungpook National University and the Graduate School (Korea). Later, he completed postdoctoral training at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Afterward, he was promoted to instructor, and then moved to Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York.
