Background

Dr. Yurasek's academic focus is on the improvement of patient care at the bedside via interprofessional teamwork, including the use of virtual reality simulation for education and quality improvement efforts. He has served as the Chair of the Pediatrics Section for the Society for Simulation in Healthcare and Co-Chair of the Quality Improvement Committee for the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society. He currently serves as the Medical Unit Director for the Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Unit as well as the Director of ECMO for the Johns Hopkins Children's Center.
