Claire Ligon, M.Ed., CCC-SLP is an assistant in the Johns Hopkins Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Richmond and a Master of Education in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Virginia. She completed her final internship at the Head & Neck Group, an ENT clinic in New York City specializing in swallowing and voice disorders. She has worked in the outpatient rehabilitation and acute care settings throughout her career. She is a 2016 National Center for Voice and Speech trained Vocologist having completed studies in acoustics, aerodynamics, rehabilitation and habilitation of the professional voice. She has spoken nationally on the topic of voice. Her clinical interests include irritable larynx and paradoxical vocal fold motion, muscle tension dysphonia, aphonia, voice disorders, singing voice rehabilitation, communication and swallowing disorders.
