Background
Dr. Novak is a graduate of SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. He completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD.
Following his residency training, he served in the U.S. Army for four years as an OB/GYN prior to pursuing his fellowship training. He completed fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. During his fellowship, he researched the impact of prematurity and intrauterine infection on perinatal brain injury, as well as the evaluation and management of placenta accreta spectrum disorders.
Dr. Novak is currently an Assistant Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM).
