Background
Dr. Christopher Frost is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon focused on treating patients with hand and wrist trauma, arthritis, vascular disorders and tendon injuries. He also cares for people experiencing disorders of the peripheral nervous system and those who have complex upper and lower extremity conditions, such as amputation.
Dr. Frost helped establish the Johns Hopkins Center for Advanced Limb Loss, a multidisciplinary clinic treating patients with upper or lower limb loss. The center provides care to patients from an integrated group of experts from throughout Johns Hopkins including plastic surgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, neurologists, as well as specialists in pain medicine, and physical medicine and rehabilitation. He is also interested in upper extremity transplantation as a treatment for some patients with upper limb loss.
Dr. Frost completed his medical school training at the University of Michigan and plastic and reconstructive surgery residency training at the Johns Hopkins/University of Maryland. He completed additional fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School which focused on complex reconstruction, peripheral nerve surgery and microsurgery.
Research Summary
Dr. Frost also leads a complimentary basic, translational and clinical research program aimed at developing strategies to enhance nerve regeneration and functional recovery following peripheral nerve injury. This effort includes an ongoing multi-center clinical trial assessing the efficacy of a therapeutic agent stemming from work he performed in his laboratory.

DR. Frost and [staff] I have been amazing at fixing my damaged hand and they're the greatest advocate for me for Workmen's Comp.. I can't be more grateful for Dr Frost talent and kindness and pursuit of justice makes me grateful to have found him and [staff]. Thank you so much for everything. I'd recommend you guys to anyone. Dr. Christoper Frost is an excellent hand surgeon. He always shows compassion, empathy, kindness at each visit. Always listens to me and comes up with a successful hand treatments.Has extensive knowledge regarding various hand conditions.Has excellent knowledge regarding Ehlers-Danlos (EDS-connective tissue disorder) and how to proceed with surgery and its complications.There are very few hand surgeons who have knowledge regarding connective tissue disorders.Will be getting Dr. Frost to perform my right thumb CMC arthritis surgery in the summer.
