Christina Morris-Berry, MD, MS

Pediatric neurologist Christina Morris-Berry specializes in caring for children with neurologic and neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism spectrum disorder, seizures and headaches, among others, and is part of the Center for Autism Services, Science and Innovation at Kennedy Krieger Institute. She also has expertise in stereotypies and other movement disorders in children.

Dr. Morris-Berry earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine after receiving a master’s in biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University. She completed residency in pediatrics at the University of Maryland Medical Center, followed by a residency in child neurology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Dr. Morris-Berry’s research focuses on autism spectrum disorder, neuroimmunology and movement disorders including complex motor stereotypies. Her work has contributed to a better understanding of the role of immune mechanisms in neurodevelopmental disorders and has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals. She continues to investigate stereotypic movement disorders across the lifespan and is exploring headache disorders in children with autism and in other specialized pediatric populations. She is also involved in research focusing on access to early diagnosis and interventions for children with autism.

In addition to her clinical and research work, Dr. Morris-Berry also serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Pediatric Genetics. She is also passionate about the education of medical students and resident physicians.
