Dr. Carmel Bogle is a pediatric cardiologist seeing patients at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center’s locations in Annapolis, Columbia, Bethesda, Hagerstown and Frederick, Maryland in addition to telemedicine visits.  Dr. Bogle specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric cardiology, pediatric cardiomyopathy, heart failure in children and pediatric heart transplantation. 

After completing her pediatric residency at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford in 2016, Dr. Bogle completed her pediatric cardiology fellowship in 2019 at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. In 2020, she completed training in advanced cardiac therapies for heart failure, heart transplant, and ventricular assist devices at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Research Summary

Dr. Bogle has engaged in research efforts in collaboration with the Pediatric Heart Transplant Society. For her interests include investigating cardiometabolic risk factors associated with heart transplant complications in children, Dr. Bogle was awarded an Enduring Hearts grant.
