Background

Dr. Cervantes is the Director of the Nephrology Fellowship Training Program at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a member of the Johns Hopkins Amyloid Center.

Dedicated to medical education, she co-directed the Genes to Society Renal Physiology Course from 2021 to 2025 and previously served as Assistant Program Director for the fellowship, leading efforts in career pathway development. Her clinical and research interests include amyloidosis, paraproteinemias, hypertension, diabetic kidney disease, and quality improvement.

Dr. Cervantes was selected for the 14th cohort of the Armstrong Institute Patient Safety and Quality Leadership Academy and the 3rd cohort of the International Society of Nephrology Emerging Leaders Program, reflecting her commitment to quality, advocacy, and global health.
