Background

Dr. Sipe is a key member of our maternal-fetal medicine team, providing care for many expectant patients whose infants may require care in our neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) or cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU), as well as surgery after delivery at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. 

Dr. Sipe serves as a faculty member for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg and was awarded the Residency Teaching Award in 2024. He also serves as clinical faculty for the University of South Florida/HCA Florida Brandon Hospital Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency. 

Dr. Sipe earned his medical degree from Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. He completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, serving as chief administrative resident in his final year. During his time at Emory, he received several teaching awards and was recognized for excellence in obstetrics, excellence in resident research and excellence in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Next, Dr. Sipe completed a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine.

In addition to providing care for high-risk pregnancies, Dr. Sipe’s clinical interests include advocacy for women's health. He has held several leadership roles with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, currently serving as the Early Career Fellow representation to the District XII (Florida) Advisory Council, vice chair of the District XII Maternal Mortality Committee and as a member of the ACOG National Quality and Safety Initiatives Delegation.
