Bharti Deswal, MD

Bharti Deswal is an assistant professor of pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is a board-certified pediatric endocrinologist with extensive expertise across all aspects of pediatric endocrinology and diabetes. Dr. Deswal has been practicing at the Joslin Diabetes Center and Boston Children’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School for the past 11 years. She lives in the DMV area with her husband and sons.

Dr. Deswal brings strong clinical and research experience in pediatric endocrinology. She has expertise in understanding insulin resistance, obesity, diabetes and their associated comorbidities. She emphasizes the importance of promoting early recognition of insulin resistance, implementing effective strategies to prevent diabetes, and adopting comprehensive management approaches that improve long-term health outcomes for children and adolescents.

After graduating from the University of Calcutta, Dr. Deswal completed her residency and fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at Mass General Brigham for Children.
