Assil Shaker Saleh, MD

Dr. Assil S. Saleh is a rheumatologist affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital. She practices out of Foxhall Internists in Washington, D.C. 

Dr. Saleh has an expertise in arthritis, vasculitis, and inflammatory and auto-immune diseases.

Dr. Saleh earned her medical degree from the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy’s and St. Thomas’ in London, England. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in rheumatology. Dr. Saleh also earned her Master’s degree in public health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.  

Dr. Saleh was named a Top Doctor in the Washington, D.C. and Washington-Baltimore areas by Castle Connolly in 2012. 

Dr. Saleh’s research focuses on the relationship between cardiovascular disease and arthritis. She has contributed to numerous publications.
