Arash Kardan, MD

Dr. Arash Kardan is a professor and chief of the Division of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging in the Johns Hopkins Department of Radiology and Radiological Science.

He earned his medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara before going on to complete the Fifth Pathway program at New York Medical College and a transitional internship at St. Joseph Medical Center and New York Medical College. He went on to a categorical internal medicine residency with the University of Arizona-Tucson Hospitals Medical Education Program. He then completed a series of fellowships, including a cardiovascular disease fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School, an NIH T32 nuclear medicine fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Shriners Children’s Boston/Harvard Medical School, and nuclear medicine and oncology PET/CT fellowships in the Molecular Imaging Program at Stanford University School of Medicine. 

His expertise is in the field of nuclear medicine.
