Angel W. Hernandez-Mulero, MD

Dr. Hernandez is a pediatric neurologist and epileptologist, and chief of pediatric neurology at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. He joined the hospital staff in 2024. 

He was previously division chief of neurosciences and epilepsy, as well as medical director of the Jack H. Miller Magnetoencephalography Center, at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was also a professor in the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine Department of Pediatrics in Grand Rapids. Dr. Hernandez has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and given many talks nationally and internationally.  

Dr. Hernandez earned his medical degree at Ponce Health Sciences University in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He completed a pediatric residency at Western Michigan University School of Medicine in Kalamazoo, a child neurology residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, and a pediatric epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology fellowship at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
