Background

Amanda Levin, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She attends in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of the Bloomberg Children’s Center. Dr. Levin serves as the Associate Medical Unit Director for Safety and Quality in the Pediatric ICU.  She is the Associate Program Director for the Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Fellowship and Director of Resident Education in the PICU. Dr. Levin received her Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry and Medical degree from Michigan State University. She completed a combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency and chief residency at University of Cincinnati (University Hospital. VA Hospital, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center). She completed Pediatric Critical Care Medicine fellowship at Northwestern University McGaw Medical Center.

Dr. Levin’s clinical areas of interest are in safety and quality improvement in the PICU and medical education. Her research areas of interest in medical education, escalation of care for the deteriorating patient, and improving medical team performance. She joined the faculty In 2018.
