Ahan Lamar Hunter, MD

Ahan Hunter, M.D., is a gynecology and obstetrics physician with Johns Hopkins Medicine Gynecology & Obstetrics. Dr. Hunter enjoys the full scope of gyn/ob services including prenatal care, birth control management, fertility visits, fibroid management, endometriosis care and menopause/perimenopause care. He is highly trained in robotic gynecology surgery. Additionally, Dr. Hunter enjoys teaching medical students to help improve knowledge about women's health.

Dr. Hunter was raised in Charleston, South Carolina and was the first of his family to become a physician. He went to college and medical school in South Carolina, and then completed his residency in Richmond, Virginia where he met his wife. Together they have three amazing children. Being present with his family is very important and Dr. Hunter is proud to be the dad that rolls around and plays "monster" with his two younger sons.

In addition to helping his patients, his goal in life is to eat at every good restaurant that is recommended to him. He and his wife love trying new cuisines. He also loves to travel, visit family, watch sports and work on his social channels where he teaches and educates others. Dr. Hunter also has a passion for music which dates back to his childhood. He plays the drums and piano when his schedule allows to help him unwind.
