Aanika Warner, MD, MPH

Dr. Aanika (Balaji) Warner is a medical oncologist specializing in the care of patients with breast and gynecologic cancers at the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Sibley Memorial Hospital. She provides individualized, evidence-based care for patients across the cancer continuum, with an emphasis on clear communication, shared decision-making and building strong, long-term relationships with her patients.

Dr. Warner earned both her medical degree and Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. She completed her internal medicine residency in the Johns Hopkins Osler Medical Residency Program and her medical oncology fellowship at the National Cancer Institute. Her academic interests include precision oncology, biomarker-guided treatments for advanced breast cancer, estrogen receptor-low breast cancer and brain metastases, cancer immunotherapy and the management of immune-related toxicities. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and has presented her research at major national and international oncology conferences.
