Research Summary

Lab website: https://hepi2.jhmi.edu/

I have a research interest in new-onset, unexplained seizures in older adults (without a history of stroke or dementia to explain the seizures). My work focuses on understanding the risk factors for and cognitive implications of seizures in this population, as well as how best to treat these seizures. Patients with unexplained seizures starting at age 55 or older who are interested in participating in research may email CLUEStudy@jh.edu. Patients seeking clinical care should call 410-955-9441

Multicenter CLUE study website: https://clue.mgh.harvard.edu/

I am also interested in the optimal management of epilepsy in women of childbearing age, particularly in managing epilepsy during pregnancy and catamenial epilepsy.
